Electric Scooters - the legal bit
Following the Queen’s Speech in May 2022, the government announced plans for a transport bill covering new legislation to create a new low-speed zero-emission category of vehicles such as e-scooters. Until then the use of e-scooters on public roads, cycle ways and pavements is illegal and they can only legally be used on private land with the land owners permission.
